Virtual Reality

As an artist, Virtual Reality really expands your experience, by making your objectives limitless. For instance, as long as my graphics card can handle it, I can have an endless supply of materials. An endless supply of paint is any artists dream.

Below are Street Art Sketches, using Tilt Brush and my Oculus Rift. I exported an object file from Tilt Brush over to Sketechfab for 3D preview. Observing in 2D or Virtual Reality, you have the ability to scale the model and observe the strokes creating the overall Street Art artwork. These models are not fully optimized, and are intended to show painted line strokes only.

To view pieces in VR:
1. Press the Play Button, allow the Model to render
2. Locate the Headset Icon located at the lower right of the Rendered Area
3. Splash Prompt will display options for desired VR device selection
4. Choose your desired option to launch in VR

VR Story Telling Videos

These are the story telling versions of the Street Art creations. Its always fun to make Music Videos. In these VR videos, I first create the piece and then save the end result to my Gallery. The next time you open the file in Tilt Brush, the system has to render all your brush strokes back to the stage. I found this slow loading sequence of my render, an opportunity to create something interesting with video and music. While the art piece renders in, Im walking around the Tilt Brush environment, acting as a camera with the Virtual Reality headset. At times, I have to open and close the piece many times, to get the perfect walkthrough render. Once the walkthrough and timing is satisfactory, I add music tracks via Adobe Premiere.
